About the Role:
AIML.com is supporting one of our trusted partner companies in their search for an experienced Data Governance Lead. This role will play a critical part in driving data governance, quality, and management initiatives across a complex investment data landscape.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead the design, implementation, and execution of data governance frameworks, policies, and best practices.
- Partner with senior business and technology stakeholders to identify data quality issues, prioritize remediation, and establish ownership/accountability.
- Ensure consistent data standards, metadata management, and lineage across investment domains.
- Drive enterprise-wide initiatives to improve data quality, availability, and usability for decision-making and regulatory compliance.
- Act as a subject matter expert in investment data governance, advising teams on strategy and execution.
- Monitor and report on data quality metrics, ensuring adherence to governance policies.
- Promote a culture of data stewardship across the organization.
Key qualifications required
- 8+ years of experience in data governance, data quality, or data management
- Proven track record delivering large-scale data governance and quality initiatives.
- Excellent stakeholder management and communication skills, with the ability to interview and influence senior executives.
- Familiarity with data governance tools, data lineage, and metadata management solutions.
- Comfortable working independently in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.
Preferred Skills: - Experience in asset management, investment management, or related financial services.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to translate business needs into actionable governance strategies.
